Training: Family Foundations 2026/2027

November 2, 2026
4 minutes

Family foundations were introduced to facilitate wealth management and succession planning. However, the upcoming legislative changes will require many founders, beneficiaries, and wealth managers to reassess their existing investment and tax strategies. Those involved in the management of family assets should carefully examine the proposed amendments and their practical implications.

Maciej Prusak and Dawid Widzyk will present the proposed amendments to the Family Foundation Act and discuss the practical consequences of the new regulations during a training session organized by Pracodawcy Pomorza (Pomeranian Employers):

Family Foundations 2026/2027
New rules, new risks, common mistakes. How to manage family foundation assets safely?

Agenda:

  1. The revised lock-up mechanism – is it merely an apparent concession by the Ministry of Finance, or does it represent a genuine shift in the rules of the game?
  2. Assets already held within family foundations – how should foundations approach assets contributed before the new regulations come into force?
  3. Transitional provisions – how much time remains, and how can it be used effectively?
  4. The most common mistakes in family foundations – key issues to watch out for.<br/>

The training session is scheduled for 20 November 2026 in Gdańsk. Target audience: founders and beneficiaries of family foundations, owners of family businesses, entrepreneurs planning to establish a family foundation, management board members, and individuals responsible for managing family wealth.
